Geez! it's been awhile...

I can't believe we are nearing the end of Term 1...Now that the Little One is in Kindy we go by Terms Now...as usual I've been trying too get here but that's Life..lol.
I'm liking my New Routine of School Pick Up and Drop Off giving myself time to spend extra hours in the Sewing Cave and getting on top of things...
First of all I have ditched my Fly Away with Me Quilt till Marg comes up in October I just lost my Mojo and some Negative feedback pretty much told me too stop...
I've picked up my Auntie Green's which I am happy with my progress...

Auntie Green's

I've started and have since finished one corner...I'm using mainly French General fabrics and a few others thrown in for good measure...I've started the other corner will post a photo of that next time...
Last week I decided to catch up with my Easter Swap with Sunday Stitches and a Pincushion Swap on IG...Glad too say Both projects are finished and ready for wrapping....

First Cnr Auntie Green's
A couple of weekends ago we had the Very Successful Workshop with Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse.
Natalie Bird
27 Ladies had a lovely day and seemed to be happy with their projects that Natalie had chosen for them....Natalie had a Gorgeous Trade Table which did Very Well...seems I have missed a photo of the 2 patterns...

Here we are with our Show & Tell of our Sunshiny Day Bags & The Mouse Pincushion patterns of Natalie's...it was a challenge with the Sunday Stitches....

The Calm before the Storm ...the hall set up with their Kits Bags and Chocolates on the tables for Staples...lol

We've had 2 Birthday's in the house also The Mr. turned 60 and our DD turned 31...Here I dillied up a Sponge with Raspberry frosting and a Flake  for the DD we went out for Dinner for the Mr.

I've been buying Kits of Lucy Boston from Friend Sandi of Shiralee Stitches.
Sandi has been choosing the most gorgeous fabrics and Month 4 came with extra's...

Unfortunately I had too cancel the Judy Newman workshop for June due too lack of numbers...I was disappointed to say the least...next March we are making a trip through Melb I will certainly be catching up with Judy then and also out at Precious Time in Toowoomba ....it was ashame for the ladies that were looking forward too seeing and hearing from Judy I have only heard Excellent things about Her and Her Teaching...in the meantime I had planned on making something for Judy as a Thank You Gift for coming up too the Gold Coast for the workshop....I decided too finish this Sewing All and send it too Judy anyway...I can show it here as it will be in Monday's Post.

I dyed the doily in Coffee Essence it smells Divine...I'm sure Judy will like it she doesn't know it's on its way too here...Judy sent me a copy of her New Quilt which is to go into a book so I was very Humbled that she did that for me after my disappointment...

There was a plea on IG for Hexie Flowers to be sent to Jodi in NSW to be put into a quilt for a fellow blogger from Overseas too hopefully heal her pain of her Newborn being Born with Difficulties...her blog is "stitched in colour" if you want too read about Baby Eleni...These are mine that are on their way too Jodi ....

Well I think I have covered the last 5 weeks...I'm still in the mood for Hexie's so I'm working with 3/4" to make a smaller version of the Dillybag...fingers cross it turns out...I've got quite a few small projects too make before October and it seems I'm in the Mood so strike while the iron is hot as they say....also nearly forgot...if you go too the workshop blog you will see that I have been talking too Lorena Uriarte from Sydney to do a one day workshop here in early June...Lorena is well known on IG and is the founder of the Greater Western Modern Quilt Guild...
Also Lisa from Precious Time in Toowoomba will be attending any workshops that she can with a Pop Up Shop so I'm pretty pleased about that...
Till Next Time
Cheers
